These terms cover how Buddy works, what you're agreeing to when you text it, and the important caveat that Buddy is a coach — not a doctor.
Buddy is a service operated by Indxr AI. By texting the Buddy number and using the coach, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, simply don't use the service — and text delete my data if you'd like anything you've sent erased.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You're responsible for the phone number and device you use to text Buddy, and for keeping access to them secure.
Buddy is an AI wellness coach you interact with over iMessage and SMS. It can log meals, weight, water, and reminders (including medication prompts you set), smooth weight into a trend, and check in gently. It is not a medical device. Because it's powered by AI, responses and estimates can be wrong — use your judgment and follow your clinician's advice.
By texting Buddy you consent to receive texts in return, including a limited number of proactive coaching messages (roughly one per day, inside your quiet hours). Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
Text STOP at any time to stop messages, or ask Buddy to adjust how often it reaches out.
Buddy starts free. Paid plans are billed through Stripe via an in-thread checkout link — monthly or annual. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time by texting cancel; your coaching continues through the end of the period you've paid for.
Give Buddy two honest weeks. If it isn't in your corner, text refund within that window and we'll return your most recent payment — no forms, no hard feelings.
Don't use Buddy for anything unlawful, don't abuse or attempt to disrupt the service, and don't impersonate someone else or submit data you don't have the right to share. We apply rate limits and may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
Buddy provides general wellness coaching (habits, nutrition logging, gentle reminders) for adults. It is not medical, nutritional, or mental-health advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it's not a substitute for a qualified professional.
Consult a physician before changing diet, activity, or medication routines, especially if you have a medical condition, take prescription medications, or have an eating-disorder history. If you may be experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.
What you send stays yours; you grant us only the permission needed to operate the service for you (storing, processing, and showing it back to you). The Buddy software, brand, and the charts it generates are owned by Indxr AI.
The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Indxr AI isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so parts may not apply to you.
You can stop using Buddy at any time and delete your data with one text. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms. We may update these terms; if we make a material change we'll update the date above and let you know by text, and continued use means you accept the update.
